Deribits OI Reaches Yearly High
Deribit’s derivative exchange’s open interest on Bitcoin perpetuals has reached a yearly high of $740 million.
Sky Mavis Partner With Gaming Company
Developers of Axie Infinity, ‘Sky Mavis’, have partnered with gaming development company, ‘Foonie Magus’, to launch their new game “Aperion”on Ronin, a evm layer 2 chain.
Aperion is a MOBA that “fuses gameplay from Slay the Spire, TFT [and others]”. A demo version of the game is currently available on the Epic Games Store.
Permission-less smart contract platform Neutron, has acquired a 25% stake in Confi, the company that built the programming environment CosmWasm.
Shadow, a crypto startup whose first product “enables anyone to get custom onchain data with just a few lines of code”, has raised $9 million in a seed round led by Paradigm, and with participation from Coinbase Ventures, Electric Capital, Ethereum Foundation, Uniswap and Flashbots.
Shadow works through ‘Shadow forks’ - an off-chain mirror of a blockchain state in real time which “unlock deeper data coverage, cheaper smart contracts, and faster integration cycles for builders and analysts”.
Mantle has launched their own Liquid staking protocol and ETH Liquid staking token mETH.
mETH represents ETH staked on Mantle. The protocol currently has 43,309 ETH staked at a 3.97% APY for mETH holders.
Lugano Accepts BTC & USDT For Taxes
Lugano, a city in Switzerland, now accepts Bitcoin and USDT for municipal taxes (taxes levied by cities and towns).
Thirdweb Disclose Vulnerability
Thirdweb disclosed a vulnerability present in some of their prebuilt open source contracts.
As of now, Thirdweb states that no funds have been exploited due to the vulnerability and have published steps to mitigate losses.
Umee, a decentralised lending protocol on Cosmos, has announced a merger with Osmosis, the largest decentralised exchange on Cosmos in a post on Osmosis’ governance forum.
Grayscale Ethereum Trust Conversion Delayed
Grayscale’s Ethereum Trust conversion filing has been delayed by the SEC. The next and final deadline for the 18th of June 2024.

TVL Above $10M
Over the past day: Aurora+, a membership program for users of the EVM compatible L1 Aurora, saw a +63.79% in TVL. This comes as the AURORA token increased over 350% over the last 24 hours before settling at ~ +200%.
Fees
Bitcoin fees increased 121% day over day, due to Ordinals related network activity. Bitcoin miners earned a total of $5.6M, competing with Ethereum for the top earner.
Governance Proposals
If this SIP is implemented, inflation will be reduced to zero in the claim week following the vote. This change only requires a parameter to be updated so it can be implemented fairly quickly.
